Let me get this right, buying plastic crap at Walmart bad, printing plastic crap at home good?
I'm trying to figure out if scarcity even applies here. We are talking about printing stuff. Printers haven't really destroyed the publishing industry, but electronic publishing might. I could probably produce a couple copies a minute of an item on an injection molding machine cheaper. But if you live in boondocks, something like this could save your neck. I believe the military is working on using a laser to melt metal dust to make parts on demand since shipping takes too long.
